This notice explains how the KCL Saudi Society (the "Society", "we", "us") handles your personal data on our website, kclsaudi.com. We are the data controller for this data. To ask about it or exercise your rights, email us at hello@kclsaudi.com.

• Information you give us: when you fill in a form or contact us: your contact details, your student or professional details, and, for paid events, evidence of payment.
• Technical data: collected automatically when you visit, such as your IP address and browser type, to deliver and secure the site.

• Responding to your enquiries and processing event or membership requests: legitimate interests, or contract where you're signing up for something.
• Running and securing the website: legitimate interests.
• Measuring site usage through Google Analytics: consent (see Cookies).
• Meeting legal obligations: legal obligation.

We don't sell your data or share it for marketing. We use service providers who process data on our behalf under contract: our website hosting provider, our content management platform, and the providers that receive our form submissions and measure how the site is used. We can tell you who they are on request. We may also disclose data where required by law.

Some providers process data outside the UK, including in the US. Where that happens, we rely on an appropriate safeguard (UK adequacy regulations or the UK IDTA / Addendum to the SCCs) so your data stays protected.

We keep data only as long as needed, then delete it: enquiries within 12 months of being resolved, event and membership records for the academic year plus one year. We keep data longer only where the law requires.

You can ask us to give you access to, correct, or delete your data, restrict or object to how we use it, or provide it in a portable format. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Email hello@kclsaudi.com to exercise any of these. You also have the right to complain to the data protection regulator.

We use strictly necessary cookies to make the site work, and Google Analytics cookies to measure usage. Analytics cookies are set only after you accept them via our cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time in the cookie settings.

We take reasonable measures to protect your data, though no internet transmission is completely secure. If a breach occurs, we'll follow our legal notification obligations.

We may update this notice; the "Last updated" date above will change when we do.
